RackHut is built local-first. The short version: your data stays yours, on your phone and in a backup only you hold. We don't want it, and we've built the app so we can't see it. This page covers RackHut for iPhone and RackHut for Android; where the two differ, it says so.
No account, no server
RackHut has no sign-up and runs no servers of its own. Your items, photos, sales, prices, places and tax figures are stored on your device. Nothing you put into RackHut is sent to us.
Your backup is yours
On iPhone, if you turn backups on, RackHut saves them to your own iCloud Drive, in your Apple account, protected by Apple. We have no access to it. Turn it off any time.
On Android, there is no cloud backup at all. RackHut writes a verified backup file on your phone and you choose where it goes through Android's own file picker: your Google Drive, a USB drive, your computer. Android's automatic app backup is switched off for RackHut, so nothing leaves your phone unless you export it.
On either phone you can export everything to a file whenever you like, free, Pro or not.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
RackHut contains no advertising, no analytics and no trackers. We collect no usage data, no identifiers and no personal information. The App Store privacy label says “Data Not Collected” because that is the truth.
On Android, Google Play's Data safety section lists one thing: the purchase record that RevenueCat holds to recognise RackHut Pro, described under Purchases below. Nothing else is collected, and nothing is shared or sold.
Screenshots and files you choose
When you scan an order screenshot or open a Vinted data file, RackHut reads it on your device. Nothing is uploaded. A screenshot is kept only if you choose to use it as an item's photo; otherwise it is discarded once the sale is saved.
Purchases
On iPhone, RackHut Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. Your purchase is tied to your Apple account and restores on any of your devices.
On Android, RackHut Pro is bought through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never see your payment details. To check that a purchase is valid, RackHut uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service: the app sends RevenueCat the purchase token Google Play issues, together with an anonymous id for your installation. That is all RevenueCat ever receives: no name, no email, nothing from your shop. The anonymous id is backed up by Google so that a new phone can pick up your purchase, and “Restore purchases” asks Google Play for the purchases made with your Google account. RevenueCat's diagnostics and device-identifier collection are switched off in RackHut.
Sharing from other apps
When you share a listing into RackHut, the shared link is handled entirely on your device. RackHut never contacts the marketplace and never asks for marketplace credentials.
This website
rackhut.app sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. If you join the Android list, we keep the email address you give us for that one purpose, send you one message when Android ships, and delete it.
Support
If you email support@rackhut.app, we'll use your email address to reply, and for nothing else.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Since RackHut collects nothing, changes are unlikely to be exciting.
